Question blue screening

ok I have a blue screening issue that dates back to september.......

issue:
blue screening at random times, during screensaver with nothing but windows running, while playing games (call of duty 4 and 6 as well as left for dead 1 and 2)

games also crash after just 15 - 20 mins, but only crash back to the desktop

what i have done to attempt to fix

replaced the following:
motherboard
processor
cpu fan
video card
ram
hard drive

was running XP, now running win 7...... issues persist on both OS`s

680 watt PSU
lite-on optical drive
AMD Phenom 2.5 GHz quad core processor
Asus M4N-72 motherboard
6gb corsair ram
nividia 9800 gtx video card
western digital 1TB

that is what is sitting in it right now

grim

have you tried googling the error code (blue screens display one and they are connected to the most likely cause).

an other option is that 2 parts got screwed up for insteance the mother board fckd up the ram you replace motherboard and the fcked up ram makes your new motherboard destroy other new parts.
the only other thing i can think of is a virus going round your network (tough thats not likely).

anyway with this information IDK whats wrong :P
(btw did you format etc. before installing the new os?)

Common Blue screen errors:
"Illegal Operations," "Invalid Page Faults," and "Exception Errors." Unfortunately, the source of these errors can be virtually anything: a memory conflict with another program, corrupted data, a bad installation, a virus, or even a hardware conflict.

Most likely something your installing both programs will have background process running.. This can cause Blue screens at random times..

do the following..

Download: http://www.belarc.com/Programs/advisor.exe
Download: http://go.trendmicro.com/free-tools/...sInstaller.exe

Upload the Belarc Adviser to a location to be seen via internet and post link to it..

and post the log from hijack this to this post..

Warning :
Belarc Advisor will show all Serials and Keys to programs and OS so please edit HTML so this can not be viewed,

Caution :
belarc adviser will show open ports and Back-doors so please edit so these can not be viewed via Internet.

my best guess is the power supply. 620w isnt much these days. If your rig is under pressure from the components the psu could be struggling.

Well that is what i thought... however I plugged in a 900 Watt and although it didn't blue screen, my computer still was unable to play games for much longer then 15 mins.

I went to Best buy today and talked with the Geeks, and a very attractive girl ( my age, 23) helped me out and said that she too was having the same issues with her own computer. Her boyfriend didn't know what was going on and he had tried swaping some parts. however what cought my attention was this. She is running an AMD Phenom quad core. just like I am. I have replaced my first quad core with a new one. But I guess the problems are with the processors. However, catch this. I ran my computer (origianl parts) from may of 2008 through October 2009 with out a single blue screen or game crash. Then out of no where my games start to crash. I thought it was the new driver I installed for my video card but after back dating thing still didn't work.

So the question is does anyone have a AMD Phenom Quad Core and having problems.....

AMD Phenom Quad Core with vista 64bit yes.. but that would be about it..

more a vista ISSUE then the processor..

90% of all BSOD is software..

to get a full idea of what I'm dealing with you need to follow instructions above..

windows7 + >2GHz processor = FAIL.
so theres ya problem xD its not just the AMD quads most processors that run at over 2GHz fail with windows 7
best way to fix this is keep your windows 7 up to date and hope they fix it soon xD

SEVERAL CUSTOMERS WITH WIN7 AND AMD 2.5GHZ INSTALLED WITH NO PROBLEMS..

however it does seemt that the win7 64bit will cause a blue screen with a 2GHz processor..

He needs to post the things for an actually problem solve answer..

Since he has not posted the stuff i requested.. i feel he does not want the problem fixed.. oh well ..
